I was just on my computer and the computer started to freeze just for 1 sec and make this noise from the speakers. And it restarted. Then when it logged on it said Microsoft Error or something:

C:\DOCUME~1\Tony\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER624c.dir00\Mini030710-01.dmp
C:\DOCUME~1\Tony\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER624c.dir00\sysdata.xml

What could be wrong?

Computer can be restarted because of many different reasons:

-a computer program executed the code that Windows couldn't handle and also wasn't been able to catch the exception for it...
-viruses...
-hardware momentarily got crazy or overworked...
-huge temperature in some of the hardware components...
-programming code got into big conflict...
-some program might have initiated the Windows restart process either by calling the "Shutdown.exe" file or by executing some other code for the same thing...
-computer's hardware might have restarted the computer automatically in order to prevent damage to your hardware...
-and so on...blablablablabla...

Cheers!

Hi,
Lets have a look at the possible reasons:

Computer restart due to overheating.
Computer restart due to faulty RAM.
Computer restart due to faulty Hard-disk.
Computer restart due to overheating up of hard-disk.
Computer restart on attaching some external USB device.
Computer restart due to other hardware problem.
Some software causing operating system crash causes computer restart.

Thanks :)
