Windows XP Content Advisor

About 6 months ago I created a password on the Intenet Content Advisor and customized a few settings there. I want to change those settings again but I can't without the password. The problem is that I forgot the password! I need to disable it because it's a pain to deal with it. It flags websites that are legitimate, and it's more of a headache than anything.

I have Windows XP. Does anyone know who to retrieve my password?

Thanks!

Well, the only help you are going to get about that from here is, remember your password or reformat. We can't really get into "retrieving" passwords(goes against forum rules). Also, you could be some kid who's parents where the ones who set the password or something...

I understand, I guess I didn't think about the whole "kid in disguise" thing.

If I reformat, would I lose all my information on my hard drive? It's been awhile since I learned about that stuff in high school :o

Yes, all data will be removed when formatted.

How do I do a backup? I've heard of doing one, but I never understood how to do that on my personal PC.
