windows xp install help

Okay so right now i have a dell xps m1530 running windows vista home. I want to install windows xp service pack 2. I want to keep vista install so i can choose between vista and xp when i turn on my computer. Im not sure how to do any of this.
As of right now when i load in the CD for XP it pops up but says i need to be an administrator to run the install but i am the administrator for this computer. Any help would be great
 
You better read up on how to setup dual booting. Trying to install XP after vista is already installed without using 3rd party software will crash your vista installation. Technically you would install XP first and then install Vista, oldest operating system first. And you better make sure that there are XP drivers for your hardware before doing anything.
