Windows XP installation problem

Alright. I have windows XP pro SP2 installed on my 160gig HDD. And it wanted a stupid activation code. Even though I had already activated it. It would no longer let me log in...So I logged into my 30gig HDD and saved everything from the 160 to my 30gig.

Then re-formatted...And ever since it won't install windows on it anymore only Linux works. It always blue screens int he middle of the installation.

If anyone knows what I can do please let me know

did you do what the BSOD told you ? checkdisk ?
did you google the BSOD error

this is a hardware problem
google is your friend

Yes I tried runnin check disk multiple times. It says nothing was found.

i dont understand ? so you have linux on that hard drive ?

I did have linux. But I reformatted the drive. And if I cannot fix this problem I'll probably just use it as storage.

Delete partitions using fdisk, zero the drive then rewrite MBR.

There are no partitions. I stated above I formatted linux off of it. And windows won't install.
