Windows XP just restarting again and again, Help ASAP!

When i started my Windows XP SP3 today,
it is showing that some hardware changes has occured
and giving options to choose starting XP in normal or safemode.

whatever i select, it is restarting again with beep sound.

Wht to do to recover this situation.
Is it virus problem?

Please help ASAP.

We need to know what BIOS you have, whether it's Award, AMI or Phoenix. Or give your computer specs.
Then tell us if it's a short, long or combination of those or even more than one beep. This will give an indication of what hardware is causing it.

I got Intel P4 2.8 HT motherboard.

Dont know the version of bios.
I didnt change any hardware.

Its a short beep as it was before.
