Windows XP Mouse Movement / Speed

Ive got the pointer speed in control panel>mouse at maximum and the mouse movement acceleration turned on ...

I just recently upgraded to a 73" 1080p hdtv for my monitor and its literally a nightmare moving the mouse from one side of the screen to the other...

Is there something I can do to speed up the mouse movement MORE than what ive already done? Im open to the possibility of having to use software or even registry editing (with instruction) if there is some way to do this. I would prefer not to reg edit or use extra software if there is some additional built in function.

If shouldn't matter how large your TV is, as long as the resolution is 1080p it should act the same as any 22" or 24" monitor. Do you know what DPI your mouse is?

I had a slow movement problem with my mouse.
Tried everything in the computer to speed it up...nothing worked.

Finally got the idea maybe an updated driver might help.
Went to mouse (in my case, Logitech) web site>support>and downloaded and installed an updated driver.

Mouse works great now!!

Not knowing your details, this is just a possible suggestion.

I tried lowering the resolution to 720p and instead of making things larger like on a normal monitor it simply took up less space, it still seemed the pixels were the same size... was kinda retarded and irritating... just trying to figure out how i can make the mouse move faster...

how do you find out what the dpi is for the mouse? ive not heard of this, unless you are simply referring to the scrollbar on the mouse settings to make it move faster (which is currently maxed)
