Windows XP Pro MCE tries to reinstall itself.

When I try to boot into my Windows install, for some strange reason, it open the windows setup program. I've even checked boot.ini and compared it with the one on my recovery partition (yes, it's a HP) but it's more or less the same. I'm completely confused and I haven't got the faintest idea as to what I should do.
I don't know what caused this, as another user of the computer had booted into the recovery partition and accessed the repair console (which is made by HP, so therefore, it doesn't work. Something about a missing file...) and somehow, that seems to have done something.
And if needed, I can boot my XP install from VMware and get a screenshot to give everyone an idea as of what kind of problem I'm having.
Just to note, all of the normal files on my drive ARE there, and nothing seems to be deleted.

So what can I do to boot Windows normally?

BTW, I ran a quick virus scan from Microsoft's web site, and it found two viruses. I'm not sure if one of them caused this, but it may have been a factor...

Try posting a HiJackThis log....www.hijackthis.de

Uh... I can't boot my comp without it trying to run the setup wizard.
If its safe to just go through with it and not have the risk of losing and data (registry keys, mainly...) then I can just do that, but I'm not sure if it's safe...
Any other ideas?

Ok, I just got the picture: (It's smaller than my actual 1280x1024 screen, of course)

Hope this helps everyone get a better understanding of my problem.

I contacted HP about my problem...
According to them, this isn't a known problem, so they couldn't fix it. They had simply told me to continue with the wizard.
Can someone at least tell me if this is the install screen or the configuration screen?

I wasn't the one who set up the computer, so I don't really know...
