Windows Xp pro X64

For those members in here that have used it how is it?

im seriusly considering downgrading from Vista x64 to Windows Xp pro X64.

the only erason im staying with vista atm is for DX10 but from looking at this on wiki,the games i play such as GTA IV,COD5,HL2 etc dont use DX10 anyway and i dont plan on getting any of those games on wiki.

i could go back to Xp 32 bit but then il lose 750Gb of ram,with x32 only been able to use 3.25Gb

Im just so fed up with the problems,it never runs as smooth as i would like it too,i keep getting blue screens from my tv tuner software (Which their latest drivers are x64 bit vista compatiable) and overall
 
I don't know about some of you guys, that they say Windows xp pro x64 is really terrible. I wonder if they even tried it. I run xp x64. And the only real problem I have is the webcam drivers. logitech is to lazy to update them, they rather you buy a new web cam. So, I'm going to buy a creative labs one that will have x64 xp support. Just do your home work on all the drivers you will need. then decide what is best for you.
 
xp 64bit is not as terrible as some say it is. most drivers actually do work on it unless you use ancient technology. if you don't want any driver problems at all, then just get xp 32bit. XP in general does not use a lot of resources, so anything over 2gb is overkill unless you run virtual machines.

My experience with XPx64 was pretty much like everybody else said. XP ran fine but it seemed like everytime I tried to install a new program--OOPS, sorry no driver. What killed it for me was you can't run ITunes or the Zune software on it--no driver support for them. I've since installed Vista Ultimate x64 and so far I love it. I have had absolutely no problems yet (knock on wood).

But think about it. Vista running alone will eat about 600-800MB of your RAM so loosing 750MB (you meant MB right?) of ram with Windows XP shouldn't be a problem since it is much less of a system hog. ;)
