windows xp- proff. can I do drawings?

Can I do simple 'line' drawings with windows xp- proff.? I want to do some simple house plans- nothing that you would need a cad program for. Is there a 'catagory' that I can use in windows xp? Thanks.
 
paint would be crap if you want to make decent plans. If you just want to do some personal plans, i would find a simple freeware 2d cad program online. Anything that has a grid and snap would give you some pretty good results
