Windows XP - Service Pack Issues

Bonehead

Ive got Windows XP as my operating system but only have service pack 0 or 1, and so I have trouble running/installing quite a lot of software as many require service pack 2 or above.

I tried downloading service pack 2 but got a message come up saying my version of windows is not legitamate or whatever.

Im just wondering, is it possible for me to bypass this? Say by downloading a version of XP with windows service pack 3. I know that would mean "cleaning" my hard drive and re-installing windows but it really has become a pain.

Anybody got any recommendations for me?

Do you have a legal copy of Windows XP Bonehead?

That notice you received usually means that you don't. If that is the case, the only recommendation I can give you is to purchase a legal license.

You are getting this error message , because you are not uisng original winodws xp ,
i wish to help you , but i can't but its against the forum rules .
