Windows xp Task bar problem?

Hi,
This might seem a stupid question but i was mucking about with my pc settings in my computer to make a game run faster! and i soon noticed that the taskbar and start menu backround was a diffrent colour? Its more a dark blue from the sharp, crisp, lighter colour it was before any ideas to how to change it:confused: Iam running on windows xp

oh just found how 2 do it lol. Thanks and one more thing how do u get the task bar 2 show up when ur on the internet because its not coming up thanks
 
Are you surfing in full screen mode or do you have the taskbar set to auto hide?
