I might buy a new mobo for my PC, it currently has Vista Home Basic OEM on it (pre-install) and I was wondering if i got a board similar to the one I have now would Windows allow me to continue using Vista? I know there's a feature for 'have you added or changed any significant hardware lately', so I thought maybe i could use that to my advantage
I just want to be able to OC my cpu, so I need a different mobo.
If Windows will allow me to, I'll also move my current mobo to my other PC and do the same with that copy of XP OEM (pre-install), and make it an AMD 3500+ with 1GB of RAM.. since I have an extra 3500+, HSF and 1GB of RAM lying around
Otherwise, with Vista.. I got an Upgrade Anytime disc which has the full versions of every Vista on it. Would installing that on the HDD after a mobo swap, using my OEM key, work?
