My computer wont reboot. The message I get on the Blue Screen of Death is appHelp.dll is corrupt.
I do not have the windows CD.
I did make the six disks on another computer, but when I run the #4, is states that I am missing VGA.sys.

How do I copy this file from A drive to windows using DOS?

I tried

copy a:/vga.sys c:/windows/system32
but did not work!!

I cant remember my dos commands from 10 years ago.

I also tried a bootable CD that I made but says hal.dll is corrupt.

Please help

DOS command

I feel left out, not one response to my crisis.
Anyone know if I can copy those needed files with DOS?
thanks in advance

Save me a trip to the computer repair place

I give up
Can anyone suggest a way to reinstall windows XP
before i go have someone fix it for me
Thanks

Can you not get hold of a copy of Windows XP from one of your friends in which you can borrow simply for the boot repair feature that's offered when booting from the OS CD? (This is not illegal as you're not installing their XP with their serial key, it's simply using the boot repair feature that has no reliant on the serial).
