if i do get windows XP X64 will my drivers work on it eg my all in one printer my sound card graphics card wireless card my digital camera my pocket pc etc...

the hardware may or may not work, depends if there are comatible 64bit drivers for your devices.

most likely, they might not work.. becuse most hardwares right now are 32-bit.. so u might probably have to build a new one from the ground up because u would need compatible hardwares, cpu, and programs..

i have XP 64bit. I havent installed it yet. I think it is ment for servers not desktop users.

ive found drivers for graphics and sound card but not my wireless adapter and printer?!?
my wireless adapter: NETGEAR WG311T
and printer: DELL AIO printer A940

ive checked the 2 that dont have drivers and they dont have drivers for Windows XP X64 hope this is not the case for Windows Vista?!?

does the cpu gain any benifits from it ???
it just means that the cpu can address more ram, 32bit cpus are limited to 4gb of ram. There is no speed benifit to having a 64bit cpu. none at all

XP is 32 bit while 64 is 64 bit there both the same o/s just 64 is 64 and XP is 32 the new windows vista i think gonna be 64
