tap WK + U + U = shutdown

WK + D = desktop

WK + E = explorer

WK + R = run

WK + L = lock

WK + U = utility manager

WK + pause/break = system properties

WK + M = minimises all windows

WK + F1 = windows help

WK + F = find

I have just recently come across these and am starting to use them a lot. I thought that some of you may find them useful.

Feel free to add more:

if you make a shortcut on the desktop and link it to "shutdown -s" (without the quotes). when you doubleclick this file it will shut down the computer. this can be used for many amusing purposes...(change the shortcuts icon to the Recycle Bin icon and name it "recycle Bin")

hmm thats kinda like the msdos command "XPEPM -shutdown"

lol another use for that would be if you didnt like someone but didnt want to actually hurt thier computer you could make that and put it in thier startup hahaha that would be funny!

HAHA...i just did that to my brothers computer, but instead of recycle bin, did the Firefox icon ;)

LOL, i just did the shutdown trick to my dads laptop, he still hasnt figured it out. LMFAO.

Would that work if you put it in startup, would it actually shut it down as soon as it has loaded everything or wouldnt it work like that.

Hmm

There is definitely a difference. Some windows do not minimise. If you need to have them away from your view, you would use the WK + D. One more thing... try it. When you use the WK + M combo the desktop does not refresh itself (or whatever that flash means). The WK + D does.
