Winsock Problem

Very often, after I shut down and later turn on my computer, the internet doesn't work. I run the Windows Diagnostic and it always says that the Winsock provider is messed up. So I run LSP Fix and then it'll work. But that's getting annoying, having to reboot and all that. What's the problem? It happens quite often, every few days.

you can run some winsock fixes but thats like filling a pot hole with tar, sure its a quick fix but eventually you must lay new pavement....ie an OS reinstall

What winsock fix apps have you tried, there are several out there.

I have a similar problem, I type "netsh winsock reset" in cmd and have to reboot. I can't get certain processes to turn of when I startup the computer though, which is very annoying.

I've run the Winsock fix that comes with the LSP Fix
Called WinsockXpFix
