WinXP computer just randomly freezes.

I haven't tested it in depth, but it seems it just freezes randomly. Mostly when surfing the internet or playing an internet game. I disabled the program I thought was doing it. (The linksys wireless ethernet programs) and just used normal Window wireless setup, but it still freezes randomly. Sometimes a couple of minutes, sometimes a couple of hours, but every time it's been while surfing the internet or playing an internet game.

Any ideas?

No threats found. I also scanned for Spyware and Adware, clean. It has a 4MX Nvidia card in it, I read that those cause freezes for some people, but I updated the drivers and it never froze before recently.

I sympathise with you as I have the same/similar problem and googling it so does a lot of people. It has only happened to me since Admin/services is showing a problem with nvidia crossbar and WMA video capture not starting due to missing files. So far it is only annoying me but I may have to re-install the drivers.

I started having this problem back in January. Turns out that it was the Nvidia drivers. I reverted back to drivers from June 2007 and everything's fine.

windows? randomly freezing?!?!?! I'm so shocked i might have a heart attack...

lol jk man,
