WinXPx64 HardDrive is a "ForeignDisk" is WinXP

I was running WinXPx64 edition and had a hard drive that I backed up all my data on. The hard drive was a "Dynamic Disk" under disk management. I have since gone back to WinXP x32 Bit Pro and now the disk reads "Foreign Disk" under disk management? And I can't access it. I assume I have to load that drive back onto a x64Bit machine to access my data. Or is it gone forever? Any help would be great.

most likely you can get it back from another 64 bit machine, it's one thing to be backwards compatible, but forwards compatible typically doesn't happen. I can't tell you why it would do that, but it would make sense that that is all your problem should be

i would imagine its because windows uses a criver for the diffferent types of file allocation table, and obviously XP64 uses a 64 bit one which would therefore make it incompatible with windows xp
