Wired problem. Wi-fi is working, the Internet isn't.

A few days ago the I was unable to connect to the Internet through the pc.
But. I can connect to the Internet through a w-fi. Im writing from my ipod using wi-fi. This is the same connection, the same router.
I tried to connect to the Ethernet directly without the router being a middle man but with no luck.
I tried to reset the router to the factory setting .didnt help ( pushed the button with a pen). How can it be. Internet - no . Wifi- yes?
Understanding how will make it possible to fix it.
Will appreciate any help. Thnx

Are you sure you aren't using someone else's wifi? Try using a different ethernet cable and make sure both ends are plugged in. Does device manager show that the ethernet adapter driver is installed and working fine? What about the internet icon in the bottom right corner of your screen, does it say you have internet access?

I'm not using someone else wi-if. But. I get my Internet cable ( about 15 meter long) from another house. I connect it to my router (Lan no 4) and another cable from the router to the pc. I ran system restore to about 14 days ago and it fixes the problem
