Hello,
My brother lives downstairs from me and he has RCN DSL. He has a linksys b modem connected to a linksys wireless b router (i have no idea why he's still using b). I'm directly upstairs from him and i'm using a linksys wga45g adapter to get access to the internet. Recently my internet has been acting up ALOT. I would be able to play for 10 minutes and then the next 10 minutes i would get disconnected from the internet. I'm still connected to his router though so it says i have a network connection but no internet. I've been looking around for a wireless N router to replace his B router but then he has a linksys B modem. My question is, if i buy a wireless N router to connect to his linksys B modem will i gain anything from this? or is the b modem too old to make a difference? If you've had this problem before and fixed it can you please tell me how you did?
