Wireless Boost!

Hey!

Might be wrong forum, not sure, anyways:

Is there anything out that would let you connect to your wireless router using the 802.11b/g standard from longer distances than the current wireless network cards. Eg , is there a wireless card that had a really long range?

If not, would attaching a really big antena give you a huge range increase?

If not, could you make something that would, like some sort of booster or someting?

i'm looking at something similar, my local computer shop says they can get me custom maid antinnas that will probably allow me to go about 4 city blocks with no obsticals with standard 802.11g equipment, only downfall is that you have to have 2 antinnas and 2 routers in bridge mode, if you only have one your computer with standard wireless would only be able to recieve as it would lack the power to transmit far enough to get information back to the router. I'll try to get a link for the item on newegg.com
