Wireless booster

I need something to increase my wireless signal because I only get internet in one part of my apartment. What could I buy to do this for about $40?

You could do the old tinfoil radar sort of trick. Plenty of YouTube videos about that, but it's a little impractical. For 40$... you're not gonna get far. Basically, it's like a 4 out of 10 with normal wireless internet at 0 and CAT5 ethernet at 10.

You could try a higher-end omni-directional antenna, but aside from that, you might be out of luck. Boosters are quite expensive and a typical repeater would probably be $40+.

I know it is possible to set up a wireless repeater using a virtual wireless card in DDWRT, but I've never tried it personally. However, I skimmed over the guide and it looks a bit complicated.

Yes! Please make a Cantenna. they do work quite well when you cen them right. Pringles cans will do fine but try and use something better, like an empty tine of baked beans or something similar. anything with a radius of about 3.25" works best.

I've tried this and it works.
