I put in a d-link wireless card onto my desktop and when I started the computer up it detected it and worked fine. I didnt have to download any drivers for it or install anything, The computer seemed to just know what to do itself. But for some reason a 1/4 of the time when I start my comp the card doesnt boot up and I cant connect to my wireless. The computer doesnt even see it at all when this happens. But when it works I checked the driver it was using and even checked for an update and it was fine. How does the card work fine most of the time but doesnt work once in a while. I can restart my comp a 100 times and it wont find it. But I will turn it off and come back a couple hours later and then its fine.
