i just got a wireless card today, and installed the drivers and everything, the Link lights blinkinb on the card, and the Power lights on. where do i type the network password in? thanks 4 any help.

EDIT: i'll be back with screenshots.

There are a few possibilities...

You can either let windows handle the wireless controls.. or let the software that came with the card.

I would recomend win.

To select the wireless signal of your own router...
-Right click my network places, select properties.
-doubleclick the wireless netowrk listed on the page
-The second tab should be wireless signal detection

Select yours, and it will ask for the password.

Good luck.

i already installed the drivers with the CD. and i dont know where My Network Places is. it was on my Desktop.

when i click the wireless connections, it says no wireless connections found? i was messing around with the options and stuff in there, and i think i may have screwed somthing up.

that is probberly the max your card will run at - it will be a bit lower though as it needs to travel ;)

yes i know, earlyier i was only like 4 ft from the router, and i only had 4 bars. i got DSL and the speeds 768K./

and i noticed that my 2.4GHZ cordless phone cant be 4-5 ft. around the wireless card or i lose connection on my laptop?
