Wireless driver for Lenovo G550 IdeaPad Linux Mint

So I'm running Linux Mint on a Lenovo G550 IdeaPad. When I click on the network Icon, the wireless networks in my area don't show up. I'm sure the wifi works on my computer because it works with windows immediately after installation. The Lenovo website only has windows drivers for the wireless card, which are obviously all .exe files. I saw on a youtube video that there should be a "driver manager" which does this automatically, but I searched for it and got no results. Can someone please explain what action I need to take?

What card is it? Can you see it within lspci ?

Something like this:
[beers@fs ~]$ lspci | grep Ethernet
01:00.0 Ethernet controller: Mellanox Technologies MT26448 [ConnectX EN 10GigE, PCIe 2.0 5GT/s] (rev b0)
07:00.0 Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8111/8168/8411 PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet Controller (rev 09)

Sorry for my lack of knowledge, but can you explain how to find that? Did you use terminal? I'm actually running windows currently until I get the wifi working on mint (dual boot).
