wireless for a large house and no connection

What are options here and how. My brother has a house about 3000 sq ft, single floor and no basement. has a router. limited connection though. Was a repeater what im looking for?

Yes, its a large house. If it is a repeater then what is best.

a bridge or see if you can centralize the router. if not then i would look into getting the same router that you have, more than likely it can be setup as a bridge. what kind of router does he have?

We had this issue and just used a powerline Ethernet to expend and connect into a new wireless switch but only down point it makes a separate networks so not good for house but sorted us as we had it to separate the house from the office

you should be able to set that up so its on the same network, make sure your not using the 2nd WAP as a router...
