i have been reading a lot about the new 802.11n wireless, and i dont know how to tell if my comp has the network card that will work with a new router, and if i dont have the right card how hard is it to upgrade my laptop or what do i have to do. i have a HP dv5218nr if that helps. any info would be great. thanks guys.

Your card should work with your new router just about regardless. Most all wireless cards are B/G compatable. So, you couldn't get the full N speed(108) but most routers aren't work it. There's no real N standard out yet. If you want to get wireless N, wait until it's been around longer. Besides, what's your plan? Will you be doing more than just using the internet with this laptop? If not, anything above B/G is just a waste.

Yeah, Wireless N cards at this point are a hassle. I had one, supporting a/b/g/n and half the time there was an error connecting to the a/b/g networks, and there were no N networks anywhere anyhow.
