Hey, I've got a netgear router, Right. when i ran the router of my computer i was download 250kbps which was vvvvverry good, anyways as i couldn't run it off my computer any more due to i had about 3 other computers.

Anyways in my room i have low - very low signal and when i'm download i download at 25kbps. Which is quite slow, but that's not problem.

When i play online games it will lagg like a BIATCH, To the point i have 1300 ping, Which is pretty bad.

So here's question. IS there anyway i can boast my signal, Plug ins or a cheaper way, Possibly free as i spend 150 on router it's self

How on earth are you getting such crappy connections in your house? I get a good signal outside my house. Might you have it near some equipment that might interfear with the signal?

As for the pringles can, that might work, but it's made more for a straight shot(like from antenna to antenna.) I could be wrong, but if that's the only antenna you use, I bet you'd get a worse signal unless your in line with it...
 
The other one.. Yes i agree with you it is line of sight.. But it is possible with the right Knowledge to make it omni directional.. But i did offer him an option to buy an external omni directional antenna but at 15 that is probably a little out of his price range.. It could be as the one said keep your wireless modem Router away preferably 3 metres from TVs telephones etc. also keep it away from large masses of metal such as radiators etc. Also remember that if you are using something up stairs the angle that the wireless signal passes through the wall is important.. EG. If the signal passes through a wall at 45 degrees and the wall is 1 foot thick the signal has to travel through 2 feet of wall etc…
