Wireless Int. Service???

I asked a question on the forum reguarding connecting my newly acquired laptop that's WIFI ready. I already have a DSL modem with Sprint. My son recomended a Belkin router. Get it online and I should be ready to go. While surfing for wireless info, I came across ad's for Wireless Internet Service. Something called Boingo offers the service for$21.95 a month. What would be the advantage? TIA

First off, no offense to your son, but I would not go with the Belkin wireless router. I would instead go with a Netgear, Linksys or D-Link. As for that internet service, is that sattelite or what? Because it has to have some sort of transmitter in the area...
