My wireless internet just stopped working.
I went to get a drink and came back to my laptop and I was unconnected.
I can not even find my network card under Network Connections.
Nothing was done to the laptop.
lol.... it just seems like it disappeared.

Any solution?

Unplug your router for 30 seconds and plug it back in and restart your laptop then it should work fine if it doesnt post back and we will try to help you.

Huh that is wierd. Did you restart your laptop? If you did I would reinstall the software for your networking on your laptop and see if that works.

im using a belkin
i do not believe its the the router.
we have 2 other laptops in the the house and they are working fine.
picking up the signal.

i just do not have ANY option for any wireless connection.
nothing shows up for a wireless connection in my Network connection folder.

im connecting my laptop via LAN cable.

i do not have any software to reinstall anything.

have you checked the driver for the wireless card may have been installing a new one when it lost the connection and now has a screwed up driver?

and check Broadcom i looked on google and im almost certain its the manufacturer of the wireless card so they should have drivers for it if thats what it is

yea... i have the drivers for it.
on HP's site you can find all the drivers.

i have downloaded and installed the current drivers for the card.

still, it doesnt show up in the Network Connections folder.

is there any program i can run to check it out?

not that i know of, stupid ? but is the switch for the wireless turned on? could have bumped it when you got up? and have you tried totaly deleting the driver and installing it again, (not just hitting reinstall)

Yes, it is on.

Like i said before. There is no Icon for a wireless connection in my Network Connections folder.

I downloaded and reinstalled the drivers for it from HP's site.

Still, no icon in folder and no wireless internet.

Any help?

are you running vista or xp? if xp, click start, right click my computer, select properties, go to hardware, and click device manager and it should show you all detected hardware. scroll down to network adapters, and if you dont see your wireless card, you know its your driver...that or yer card is busted...:(
