Wireless Internet: USB vs Card

ive had an usb wireless internet stick for a while. Ive always had poor performance on it. Bad slow connection, huge spikes, constant disconnection ect. I used to think that all wireless connections were these way but after talking to some friends they seem to have no problems with wireless internet connectors that is inserted on the motherboard.

So is there a large diffrence in the performance between a USB stick vs a card? Or is my router just crappy or something.

There really should be no difference in performance assuming the your computer is USB2.0. However, PCI is almost always more stable and tends to cause less "lag" than USB devices. With something like this, especially if you're just using the internet, you really shouldn't notice a difference.

Eh, I guess basically, either would be fine, but personally, I'd go with PCI.

i also agree and to add on the usb wireless sticks well one nice wack of the hand there goes your internet and a usb port but if you dont have the choice ex. all pci slots are taken you dont have a choice now do ya
