Wireless Internet

Depends where you are. AOL in the UK are giving a free wireledd router to every new member.

With the router you could buy a USB, or a PC card for you laptop (If it has a PC Card slot) then you would have wireless internet.

1, ADSL or Cable Wireless router

2, USB or PC Card wireledd adapter.

Well it depends where you live. You see in Canada and the U.S. we have a store called "BestBuy" and they sell them. You can also check on newegg or tigerdirect.

As for the specs make sure you have a cable or DSL internet and a wireless card, USB or built-in wireless in a laptop and it should work. The router I recomend is a Linksys WRT54G. It works with cable or DSL I like it. I have had it for a month and so far no problems. Just make sure to encrypt your connection when you get this or another router. But for now just get a router if you want to and we will talk about the encryption another time.

Hope this helps

On my Linksys WRT54G it is 2.4GHz. Which I think you can go all the way until the end of your backyard. Or maybe more depending on how big or how small your backyard is.
