Wireless: Laptop is connecting / Desktop connects but no internet

Hi.

I turned my computer of the other day and put it back on the following day and it connects to my wireless fine but it won't display an internet page, just says Cannot Display.

My laptop works fine and searches the net fine. So I re-done all my wireless setup and it still doesnt work, connects but cannot search the net.

Any ideas?

Are you getting an IP address, what kind of device are you connecting to? A router modem combo or just a wireless router plugged into a cable modem / dsl modem?

its a router connecting to a modem. its a buffalo router.

the laptop connects and goes online fine, just not the pc. it connects but no net.

Ok, what I want you to do is open up a command prompt window and type the following - ipconfig -all

report back with the output you get from that.
