are wireless mice bad for gaming

i have a Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 2.0 and i like it but will it be bad for gaming

With some wireless devices you can get interfernce from other things... If it does what you tell it, then there should be no problem. i have the MX1000 and it is great...

i have a crappy walmart brand wireless mouse and keyboard that work great, only bad thing i could think of about a wireless mouse and gaming is when your battery goes dead it's probably safe to say you aren't going to do so well.

Hehe, good point! My batteries last about 2 week(I have 3 sets of recharable ones) I had a microsoft mouse that would last months, but it used AA's(rather than AAA's in my current one) so it was much more heavy. Plus, the smooth scroller wheel didn't do well in gamming.

I dont have a wireless mouse but I do have a wireless keyboard. I get problems sometimes if the receiver is too far awar, it happened sometimes with my old wireless mouse. I am sure it wont be an issue.

It depends on the distance between the two. I used to have the reciever ON my computer. Well, the mouse didn't like this, and would frequently screw up, regardless of what you are doing at the time.

If you use a wireless mouse in any situation, have the receiver as close as physically possible to the mouse for best performance. Maybe tape it to the underside of your desk, where the mouse is?

I have an LX7 and have never gotten interference of any kind.

I have the LX7, and it kicks ass, way higher resolution than my last mouse, works great, and yes, i havent ever gotten interference. It only doesnt work when the batteries die, and they have lasted 5 months now.

I have the mx3100 wireless mouse and keyboard combo, the mx1000 mouse, and a logitech wireless joystick, don't have interference problems even though they are both on 2.4 GHz, but my mx1000 is great for gaming, except when i forget to charge the battery every few weeks.

the battery light has been blinking on mine for about a week now, after 10 months. I also love that it is invisible optical, no annoying red light. And it works on wood grain. :D

Woohoo everyone here loves logitech lol. Logitech makes great mice, and many other acc. like my headset, speakers, joystick, etc lol. But their premier gaming wireless mouse has got to be the g7, its really their only true wireless gaming mouse.

my mice works pretty fun but my comp is down so no using it

its a nice one with two buttons on the side for thumb which i guess i could use for special features in the game

but ill jsut try first and then see if i need an upgrade
