Wireless mouse and reliabillity

Hi! How reliable is a wireless mouse, because I want to buy one for a laptop? Does have lag? Or the signal can be lost? But on the other side can save the laptop's memory because of its separate cell battery?

Wireless mice have come a long way over the years. They are generally good. Not much lag or signal loss. They are normally blue-tooth so you should be good for 10 meters - 100 meters depending on what type of blue-tooth you are using. Lag isn't really there either. As for power is still uses the laptop battery for the wireless blue-tooth signal.

They are very good.

I use one on my laptop and there is no noticeable lag or it never loses signal to the computer. Just get a good priced quality one and you cant go wrong.

hey what you should get is one of those mice wich have both wirelss and wire. they are darn good ay.. but they cost a bit

I remember when my great uncle got his first computer back around 1999 or so and it had a wireless mouse. Gosh that thing was horrible. It was still a ball-mouse. If frequently went into power saving mode and had to be "woken up" by clicking if you didn't use it for about 15 seconds. It was very unresponsive and inaccurate. But, it was wireless

Now-of-days, wireless mice are completely different. My Logitec LX7 never gives me a single hiccup. Perhaps the only issue I've had with it is apparent interference when I have a card/flash drive near the receiver. However, it could be a result of my hub I have it plugged into. Regardless, go wireless. You can't go wrong with a good wireless Logitech mouse.

Wireless mouse are good but not very good for first person shooters bluetooth has a polling rate of 14 which is very high lag for a mouse you wont notice it playing stratagy games or doing work, internet browsing. Razer mamba at £97 is wireless and none wireless has a polling rate of 1 has a 14 hour battery built in its a mouse to dream of but only needed by seriouse fps gamers with loads of moola.

Ive been using a microsoft bluetooth mouse for over 5 years no problems apart from the low battery message that tabs me out of a game and it has a delay on the pointer moving after I move the mouse most wont notice it ding general tasks. Dont buy wireless for first person shooters unless its a proper gaming mouse with a poling rate below 5.
