Wireless mouse won't charge

I have a wireless keyboard/mouse combo from Logitech. I can't remember the model and I tried searching the Logitech site for it and I couldn't find it (it's a few years old). A few days ago my mouse started blinking red (it needs to be charges) so I put it in the charge and it still blinked red. A couple hours later a took it off and it still keeps blinking red. Is it time for a new combo?

Just leave it in there overnight and see what happens, you might not be charging it long enough. (remote possiblity)

Is it still within the warranty? Logitech is suppose to have nice warranties. Try giving them a call and asking them about it. Also, is the combo Mx5000?

Is it plugged into the wall(if that's required...) Or if it gets power though USB, Is it plugged into a USB hub? If so, plug it directly to the computer.

also check the coper contacts on the mouse. they can get dirty. i had the same problem. wipe them off and make them shiny. check the contacts in the charger base while you're at it. see if that helps before you do anythng else.
