Wireless Network Adaptor

I just bought a Linksys wireless network adaptor for my computer, but when I went to put it in, there isn't room to insert it into the PCI slot., it hits on the side. Also, if it were inserted, it wouldn't line up with the opening in the back of the case. I don't have the model# of my computer (its a Dell) but could post pics of the setup. I would have thought the adaptor was fairly universal, but maybe I'm missing something. Thanks.

It sounds like he has one of Dells slim cases and a regular network adapter won't fit. He will need a low profile card.

That's possible, some pictures will allow us to sort that out quickly. Low profile and proprietary cases are so annoying.

i have a USB Belkin Network Adapter 54mbps. and it fits in laptops and desktop computers.
theres no point of having to worry for a inside slot network adapter when you can get a USB one! woo.
;) :D

The model number will be listed on the back of computer most likely. But from what I can see the only open expansion slot on the case is for the dedicated video card. The pci slot has no open expansion port on the back to use a card unless i'm missing something.
