Wireless network issues

I just recently had to reformat my laptop. Now I have Windows XP SP3, but I'm having an issue with the wireless network deal. I can't find the button that says "View Wireless Networks" down in the bottom right of my screen. School's starting soon and I could use this laptop for homework and stuff. Thanks for any help

Make sure your wireless driver is installed. It might not be showing cause there is no driver present for it and it does not know it even has a wireless card right now.

You can get drivers from your computer manufacture web site.

Just to add to this,

Google the manufacture + wireless drivers also have a look for a the CD with came with your computer which should have all the drivers you need on it.

Yeh, it sounds like your wireless network drivers are installed, to confirm this go into device manager and check for any devices with a yellow exclamation mark on them.

I almost have it figured out! I downloaded the drivers, but now when I try to search for wireless networks, it doesn't come up with anything, and I know for a fact that our wireless network and router are working. Also, Windows Media Player won't play any music. Could these two be related? I have an HP Pavilion dv1000 just to let you all know
