wireless network login page?

hey guys i have a question, in my local library, they provide free wireless internet..but in order to use it you must get a code from them which you have to plug in the web browser (no WEP key or anything its open)...its one of those things when the internet connection is open freely. you connect to its network and as soon as you open your browser (browser of your choice) it says to input your code so youll be able to use they're internet access. my question is what is the name of this process and how can it be done???

sorry if it sounds confusing i don't know how to explain it
 
not your router settings, its more of a redirecting thing the library does to prevent you from stealing they're signal so if you were to type www.somewhere.com, a page will show for you to put in the librarys code which they provide
