Wireless Network/Routers

Currently in my house I have two desktop computers and a laptop. I use Comcast as my internet provide. One desktop computer is connected to my wireless router through an ethernet cord. My other computer and laptop are connected wirelessly. I live in a large house so the router only covers half of it. The signal can barely reach my other desktop computer. Can I just buy another Wireless router and plug it into another cable socket in my house? Will there be any pricing increases? Does it matter what kind of router it is?

Have you tried buying a larger antenna for your router? to answer your question, It should work ok if you buy a wireless access point, not a 100% on that one, mayeb someone could confirm that.

I'm going to call Comcast and ask them.

Yes I did by a special antenna and it worked a little bit but it mainly improved the height.
