wireless - only 1 at a time?

Hello

Wonder if anyone can help, my friends D-Link di-524 wireless router will only allow one laptop to access wirelessly at a time. To connect another laptop you have to turn the router off and then on again. They are connected via Virgin broadbnd 2 MB (in case this is relevant).
Is this normal, or is there a simple answer?

Any help greatly appreciated!

um, it seems to me that is is not a dhcp server. easy thing to do is hit start, go to run and type cmd and hit enter. type in ipconfig /all and look for the line that says IP. post that number on here
