Wireless or Wired Mouse?

It's up to you really... I have some problems with such small wired mice as the wire can throw them off(lift it off the pad and what not) However, some mice have horrible battery lives and aren't worth the trouble of keeping fresh batteries installed.

Does the mouse have to be small? Would you consider something like the Logitech LX7? It's not really a "Laptop" mouse, but does have a rather small receiver. I don't know exactly how long I've had that mouse, but I've yet to change the batteries. It's rated something like 7 months!
 
Actually the wired mouse just got bad reviews. So, I may go with a Logitech.

I'm just doing basic web surfing. So, I think I may go with the wireless. Somebody was complaining that the inland wireless mouse didn't click good and the cursor was acting weird. Do you think that was just a defective mouse?
