Wireless pain in the ass??

i was wondering how long the batteries last in a wireless keyboard and mouse? like if i had to use the computer everyday for lets say 2 hours a day, how long do you rekon it would be before i had to change the batteries??

thanks

Depends on what brand/model. Earlier sets had a very short battery life, the ones that are still considered "new" today last a whole lot longer. If you're concerned about switching out the battery, look into a mouse that you can dock and re-charge whenever you aren't usign it.

My mom changes her batteries quite frequently (almost weekly?), but uses her PC alot more than 2 hours a day.

I got my wireless mouse last october, and I have not yet had to change the batteries, using the computer more than 2 hours a day.

I have a Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse 2.0 and the batteries last about 7 months for me. I am on the computer perhaps 3 - 4 hours a day.

I use my Logitech LX7 and i within a year i have only had to change the batteries once. They lasted about 7 months and i am on the computer at least 2 hours a day.

alrighty, i was looking at the Logitech MX 3000 wireless bundle, is this good? in terms of use and battery life?

thanks

My keyboard batterys have lasted since last september(2005) and they are still going. I have changed my mouse twice since last september(2005).

I have a logitech wireless mouse (not sure which one it is, im at work right now), and I have 8 batteries charging at all times. My batteries die, every few weeks (3-4 weeks), and I have new ones right under my desk just waiting to be used. Then I just switch them, it's much easier to have rechargable ones for your mouse, because even if the battery life decreases as it gets used and charged more it doesn't matter because I have more just waiting for me!

Well your batteries are rechargable, those always last much less time.

Yea, I completely agree, it's just handy to have them right under my desk, even though they don't last that long. It doesn't really matter to me how long they last because I always have charged ones ready to go!

I have a logitech wireless keyboard and mouse...and I've only had to change the batteries once in the keyboard but atleast 5-6 times in the mouse...I've had the wireless set for 6 months at most

I just got a Logitech MX 3000, and am very happy with it so far. :) I havent had it long at all, about a month and batteries are still very good - like they should be.
