wireless receiver causing sound issues?

First off, bear with me. I know everyone is sick of hearing about the ninjas problems trying to get the 360 guitar hero controller working in Vista. This will be the last post I promise!

I got the wireless gaming receiver today and it works! Syncs with my guitar and wireless rocking ensued... until the sound blundered. Every sound my computer makes now sounds like its being run through a paper shredder, it sucks. I tried searching for a solution, but all I found were other people complaining it happened to them too but now how they fixed it (if they ever did). Any ideas on this? How would the receiver mess up my sound in the first place?

Only thing I can think of is how when you put a mobile phone near a speaker and it occasionally makes that beeping sound at regular interval's or when you receive a SMS or a Call comes in. But your description sounds nothing like this.

Does it make the sound if you unplug/turn off the receiver?

All the cables plugged in right?

Are those wireless speakers?

A small fury animal hasn't chewed on the cables?:)

Microsoft xbox support was worthless with this issue. They actually told me 'sorry the controller connects so that means the device works and we cant help you'...

yes, your device worked ass hat, but it screwed up my sound...

i ended up re-installing it and it worked ok, but the problem is when two or more controllers connect at the same time. So GH3 Co-op is out of the question.
