wireless router and network help ?

i currently only have one PC connected directly to a high speed modem (cat 5 cable) with cable internet connection.

now i have a laptop that i want connected to the internet wirelessly, so im assuming i need a wireless router?

i think i can pretty much figure out how to do that part and get that working. the help that i need comes next.

i have a printer that is hooked up to the PC, and i would like to be able to print to this printer from the wireless laptop also. how would i go about doing this? do i need a wireless network hub/switch also?

Yes you will need a wireless router, make sure it's suitable for Cable modems not an ADSL type, you can connect your main PC via a cable as now just plug the router in to the Modem and the PC to the Router or you can use a WIFI adaptor. Once you have your wireless network up and running turn on file and printer sharing on both machines, and set the printer on the main PC for Sharing, it works fine no extra hardware needed.
Been there done that:)
