Brand new to the forum thanks to google.

I have absolutely no clue what my password is to my router connected to my desktop.

Therefore, I can't connect to my laptop or my IPhone.

Someone told me to hold the reset button on the router but then I'll still need some code, password, and username.

Any help out there?

It's a linksys Model No. WRT110 Top of it says CISCO

1762-0376 is the last number listed on it.

Also has
serial No. MSU00J346328
MAC Addres: 001EE5F66E5F

Any help is greeeatly appreciated

Holding the reset button down for 30 seconds or so will do a hard reset on the router, which means it will set it back to default when you bought it. Do the procedure and then login to the routers configuration page by typing 192.168.1.1 into your browser's address bar. When the login page comes up, leave the user name blank and the password is admin. Then reset your security up.

Thank you for tHe reply. I reset it and the no username and admin password worked.

Now i have no Internet so I'm on my iPhone. How do I reset my security setup? The wireless name used to be walsh and now it's simply linksys. My laptop says it's connected to linksys but won't let ne view any pages and says I'm not connected to the Internet. I need to find a way to allow me to connect to linksys or create the name I had last time w a different password

Anybody got any ideas from you? I'm using my ethernet straight into the computer instead of the router right now

You may have to use the setup cd that came with the router to allow internet access to pass through it.

I'll go on a search for the CD but don't think I know where it is.

If I've lost it am I wasting my time? I should probably just go find a new router and set it up that way...

Depending on your ISP, usually you just shut down the modem, connect cable from modem to wan port on the router, plug modem back in and wait for it to sync up and then plug router in, then turn computer on and you should be set to go.

Right! did you make a call to your ISP? First thing is that your ISP should have provided you with step by step guide or assist you with your concerns.
