Basically I want a range extender device. One is a buffalo and the other a logitec device. I live in Japan so the product No. may not be of help. But if providing it will help I will? What are you trying to achieve? Are you trying to use it as a range extender type device? Or are you after multiple wireless networks?
Also, what hardware are both router devices?
It's fairly simple to set up.
You need a cable from an lan port on router 1 to lan port on router 2, do not use the internet port on router 2. Change the Internal IP of router 2 to match router one. Example.
Router 1 IP is 192.168.1.1
Router 2 ip needs to be 192.168.1.2
Router 2 needs dhcp disabled so that all machines can see each other.
The buffalo router's IP address should be 192.168.11.1
The Logitech routers IP address should be 192.168.2.1
These numbers aren't available inside XP. When connected to each router you enter those IP addresses into the browser's address bar to access the router configuration pages. I would suggest you contact someone to help you set this up. You will also need login information for these routers... username and password. All this information should be in the manuals for each one.
I gather this will be to difficult for me to do by myself? I have the login info, I just need to know how to get to the setup pages???
