wireless router

I have found out that i need a wireless router if i don't want to drag my telephone wire into the computer room for my broadband connection. But i am struggleing to work out how it all connects to everything, especially the telephone.

You have to first have an ISP for your internet, they will supply you with a modem, if its dsl, the modem has to plug into a specified phone line, if cable, it plugs into your cable outlet. The modem will than plug into your router, wireless or wired. If you have a wireless router, you wont need to connect any wires to your computers, and all you will need is a seperate wireless card for each computer.
