A router is a router. You should have no problems with your computer accessing the internet with that router as long as your computer as a network connection.
There is no problem with a router depending on the type of PC that you have. As long as your Network Adapter - LAN is installed properly and you are connected to the internet, then I don't think that there is a problem with it.
If you want to use the wireless then as long as the router and your computer communicate with the same language (B, G, N etc) then it should work. There shouldnt be any issues with hardwiring the computer to the router.
