I have an Actiontec GT701-WG DSL modem and wireless router I purchased through Quest (the DSL provider in my last apartment). I am moving to a new city with a different DSL provider. Will this modem work with a new provider, or did they build some proprietary gizmo into it that will only allow it to work through Quest? Thanks.

It should work with the new provider. I have used my current modem for 3 differnt ones between school and home and back again.
